Azimuth / Elevation Calculation

Enter your earth station longitude: degree

Enter your earth station latitude:  degree

Elevation: degree Azimuth: degree

Feed polarization angle: degree

Note:

The elevation of the antenna is defined as the angle between the plane of the antenna and the plumb line. For an offset-fed antenna, the real elevation angle is the calculated elevation angle minus the offset angle.

The offset angle of the antenna is defined as the angle between the reference axis of the earth station antenna and the due south (southern hemisphere is defined as the due north). The rotation towards the west is defined as positive direction.

The polarization angle of the feed is defined as the angle between the fixing angle of the feed and the plumb line. Facing the antenna and counter-clockwise rotation of the feed is defined as positive (On southern hemisphere, clockwise rotation of the feed is defined as positive).
